How's My Code wins '2nd place overall' — Thank you!
This is a great honor. When we entered the rumble, we just wanted to make it to the final round, get selected between the hundreds of entries into the top 20-something was something we could only dream about.
And then we got into the finals, and people loved our app :D The last couple days we were so nervous, checking the rankings every 10 minutes, to see where we were. Specially the last day, when TableSurfing came up from the 5th place and passed us!
“OMG, OMG, they are second now — wait, no, now we’re second — and now they’re again”. That went on for most of the last day of the rumble.
Specially the last 5 minutes, calling friends to vote us up, they were above us by 0.004. We ended up winning by 0.006. Our hearts were racing. We were trembling. It was awesome.
What we find most rewarding, though, is that we were voted as the most useful app overall (we already won 2nd place overall, so the prize for usefulness went to the great ZenVDN, an awesome way to publish and distribute videos, try it.)
All we can say is Thank You. To the organizers, for all the work and sweat they invested on this week. To the other participants, for the amount of awesomeness produced in those 48 hours. And to the judges, for taking the time to vote, analyze, and comment on all the apps.
We hope to see a lot of these 48-hour-crazy-projects in the future. And you can sure hope to see How’s My Code growing during the next months.
Thanks!
